Montessori Learning Hub

Home Education Centre
Our Home Education Centre launched in September 2022. This mixed aged class community offers part-time places to children aged 6 to 11 years. The children come together two days a week (9am to 3.30pm) across three school terms per year. The curriculum of Montessori Maths and Montessori English and is delivered following the philosophy of Maria Montessori where each child develops and learns at their own pace.

  • Discovering abstraction first through the concrete exploration of the Montessori Materials enabling the child to build upon the concepts and skill sets that trigger an intrinsic love to find out more and allowing them to discover education as an individual.
  • Concentration and co-ordination of oneself lay a firm foundation for the child’s development of their own self-regulation and behaviour and are key indicators to a child’s deep learning.
  • Whilst the focus of the curriculum offer will be Montessori Maths and Montessori English, the delivery of the concepts are far more wide spread through a holistic approach that actually touches on all aspects of an academic curriculum, albeit limited due to the time the part-time children will have in class – but will enable the primary/teacher to build upon for the rest of the learning week.
